Agriculture is an important sector to the country’s economic
development and it is the most important sector for
developing countries like Malaysia. In fact it is one of the most important
features that distinguish between the status of developing countries and
developed countries. The same sector has contributed to the foundation of the
Malaysian economy in the post-independence era in which at the time, the
majority of people focus on the agriculture sector.
Nowadays,
the agriculture sector is growing in Malaysia and it will become the most important
sector in the future. In agriculture sector, to ensure the plants grow well and
healthy, there are three elements that are essential to obtain the plants grow
well and produce high yield and quality. Firstly is ensuring the crops got
enough nutrients or fertilizer. Second is make sure the soil that uses is
fertile and lastly make sure the pets is controlled closely. It is important to
make sure the plants are needed enough nutrients and no pests can interfere
with crop growth and all this kind of work are mostly using man power to
fertilizer and pesticide the crops. This is difficult for farmer who employed
in large scale plantations.
By referring this situation, the Development
of Integrated Crops Management System (DICM) was introducing to provide convenience
and comfort in the agriculture sector. The purpose of the DICM system is to
fertilize the crops automatically. This DICM system is actually giving
fertilizer to the crops and has an additional function as a pesticide spray to
the crops. This system will used to deliver the fertilizer to the plants and it
will give a pesticide to the plants with a slide on the rod of iron. With this
DICM system, it can be used in large-scale farming without using man power.
A
DICM system is made to improve the quality of the plants to ensure the plants
grow well and healthy and at the same time will reduce using man power to make
the convenience and comfortable to the user.
